AC Repair — Book a Visit Today

We handle air conditioning repair on residential systems across Florida, and the fastest next step is to call us with what your system is doing right now. Most calls come down to a handful of failures: a shorted capacitor, a burned fan motor, a refrigerant leak, a clogged condensate line shutting the system off on a float switch, or a compressor that will not start. A visit starts with what you tell us, then we check the thermostat signal, the electrical side at the air handler and condenser, airflow through the coil, and refrigerant pressures. We explain what failed and what the repair involves before we touch anything. If the system is off in August heat, tell us when you call so we can prioritise.

AC Repair — residential AC being serviced

The AC symptoms we hear most

  • The air coming out feels warm Low refrigerant charge, failed compressor, or a condenser that lost power
  • It runs all day and never reaches the thermostat setting Undercharged system, dirty coil, or airflow restriction at the filter or ducts
  • I hear a hum outside but the fan is not spinning Failed run capacitor or a seized condenser fan motor
  • Water is dripping from the ceiling or the closet Clogged condensate drain line, cracked pan, or a frozen evaporator coil thawing
  • The AC shuts itself off after a few minutes Safety switch tripping on pressure, float switch, or an overheating compressor

Whether you call it air conditioning repair, air conditioner repair, air conditioning service or AC repair, the work is identical and so is the quote you approve first.

Safe things to check first

Worth a look before you call — sometimes it saves you the visit.

  • 1Check the thermostat is set to COOL with a temperature below the room reading, and replace the batteries if the screen is dim or blank.
  • 2Look at your electrical panel for a tripped breaker on the air handler or condenser circuit, and reset it once. If it trips again, stop and call us.
  • 3Pull the filter and hold it to the light. If you cannot see through it, replace it with the same size and see whether airflow improves.
  • 4Walk out to the outdoor unit and clear grass clippings, palm fronds, vines and storm debris back a couple of feet from all sides.

AC Repair — quick answers

How soon can you get here when the AC quits?

Call us and tell us the system is down and the house is heating up. We prioritise no-cooling calls, especially where there are infants, elderly residents or medical needs in the home, and we will give you a realistic arrival window rather than a guess.

Why does my AC freeze into a block of ice?

Ice on the coil or line usually means airflow is restricted or the refrigerant charge is low. Turn the system to FAN ONLY to thaw it and change the filter. If it ices again, there is an underlying fault we need to measure and repair.

Is it worth repairing an older air conditioner?

It depends on what failed and how the rest of the system looks. A capacitor or fan motor on a sound unit is straightforward. A failed compressor on a corroded coastal condenser is a different conversation, and we will lay out both paths honestly.

Can you just add refrigerant?

Refrigerant does not get used up, so if the charge is low there is a leak somewhere. We find and repair the leak first, then charge the system correctly. Topping off without a repair means you are paying again in a few months.

What makes capacitors fail so often in Florida?

Heat and long run hours. A capacitor sitting in a hot condenser cabinet that cycles all year takes far more stress than one in a mild climate. It is one of the most common air conditioner repair parts we replace, and the swap is quick.

My AC works but the house is humid. Is that a repair?

Often yes. An oversized system, a dirty coil, low airflow or a duct issue can leave the air cold and clammy. We measure temperature drop and airflow to find out whether it is a repair, a control setting or a sizing problem.

How it works

  1. Step 1

    Tell us the symptom

Call or fill in the quote form and describe what changed. Warm air, short cycling, a breaker that keeps tripping, water stains on the ceiling. That detail helps us bring the right parts.

  2. Step 2

    We diagnose on site

A technician checks the thermostat, the electrical side, refrigerant performance, airflow and the condensate line. We find the actual cause instead of swapping parts and hoping the problem stays away.

  3. Step 3

    You approve the repair

We explain what failed, what it takes to fix it, and how long the part is likely to last. Nothing gets replaced until you say go, and we test the system before leaving.

Why homeowners call us

  • Built for the salt airCoastal Florida is hard on outdoor equipment. Coils corrode, contactors pit, fan motors seize early. We look for that damage during every air conditioning repair so a small failure does not take the whole system down.
  • Condensate lines we actually clearBy late summer, drain lines clog with algae and shut systems off on the float switch. We clear the line, check the pan and the safety switch, and show you what caused the backup.
  • Heating tooCold snaps still arrive. We do heating repair and heater repair on heat pumps, strip heat and furnace repair where homes have one, so the system works in January as well as August.
  • Plain talk about older systemsIf a repair makes sense, we repair it. If a unit is failing in ways that will keep costing you, we say that too and lay out the options. You decide, not us.
  • All major brands, gas & electricEvery major HVAC brand, gas and electric, handled by an independent crew.
  • Straight answersWhen a replacement beats a repair, we tell you, sometimes before we roll a truck.
