Furnace Repair — Book a Visit Today

We handle furnace repair and heating repair on gas and electric systems in homes across the states we cover, and if your house is cold right now, call us and we will get a technician scheduled. Most no-heat calls come down to a failed ignitor, a dirty flame sensor, a bad blower motor or capacitor, a tripped limit switch, or a thermostat that lost its signal. A visit starts with what you noticed, then we check the thermostat, power, filter and airflow, watch the ignition sequence, and test the electrical parts under load. You get told what failed and what the repair involves before we start. If you ever smell gas, leave the building, call 911 or your gas utility, then call us.

Furnace Repair — residential furnace being serviced

The furnace symptoms we hear most

  • The heat blows cold air Failed ignition sequence, dirty flame sensor, or a burner that lights and drops out
  • It runs a few minutes then shuts off Short cycling from a restricted filter, blocked return, or a limit switch tripping on high heat
  • Nothing happens when I raise the temperature Thermostat wiring or settings, tripped breaker, blown low voltage fuse, or a dead control board
  • There is a loud bang when the heat kicks on Delayed ignition from dirty burners or a gas valve and ignitor timing problem
  • The blower runs but the house never warms up Heating elements or gas heat not firing while the fan keeps circulating room air

Search for it as furnace repair or heating repair and you land in the same place: one visit, one written quote.

Safe things to check first

Worth a look before you call — sometimes it saves you the visit.

  • 1Check the thermostat: fresh batteries, set to heat, and the target temperature a few degrees above the room reading.
  • 2Look at the breaker panel and see whether the breaker for the air handler or furnace has tripped.
  • 3Pull the filter. If it is grey and packed, put in a clean one of the same size and try the system again.
  • 4Walk the house and confirm supply and return vents are open and not covered by furniture or rugs.

Furnace Repair — quick answers

Why does my furnace blow cold air instead of heat?

Usually the burners are not staying lit or the heat source is not firing at all. A dirty flame sensor, cracked ignitor or closed gas valve are common causes. The blower still runs, so you feel room temperature air. We test the ignition sequence on site.

Is a no-heat call something you can come out for the same day?

Often yes, depending on where you are and how the schedule looks that day. Call and tell us the house is cold and what the system is doing. We will give you a realistic arrival window rather than a guess.

What if I smell gas near the furnace?

Leave the building right away, take everyone with you, and call 911 or your gas utility from outside. Do not flip switches or restart anything. Once the utility says the house is safe, call us and we will inspect the furnace and gas train.

How long does an ignitor or flame sensor repair take?

Both are usually same visit repairs. A flame sensor often just needs cleaning or replacement, and an ignitor is a common carry item. We run the furnace through several full cycles afterward to confirm it lights and holds flame.

Do electric furnaces fail differently than gas?

Yes. Electric systems fail at the heating elements, sequencers, contactors and high limit switches, with no burners or ignition to troubleshoot. Gas systems add the ignitor, flame sensor, gas valve and heat exchanger. Both share blower motor and control board problems.

Should I repair or replace an older furnace?

It depends on the failed part, the age of the system and how the heat exchanger and blower look. We tell you what the repair covers and what condition the rest of the unit is in, then you decide. No pressure either way.

How it works

  1. Step 1

    Tell us the symptom

Call or fill in the quote form and describe what changed. Warm air, short cycling, a breaker that keeps tripping, water stains on the ceiling. That detail helps us bring the right parts.

  2. Step 2

    We diagnose on site

A technician checks the thermostat, the electrical side, refrigerant performance, airflow and the condensate line. We find the actual cause instead of swapping parts and hoping the problem stays away.

  3. Step 3

    You approve the repair

We explain what failed, what it takes to fix it, and how long the part is likely to last. Nothing gets replaced until you say go, and we test the system before leaving.

Why homeowners call us

  • Built for the salt airCoastal Florida is hard on outdoor equipment. Coils corrode, contactors pit, fan motors seize early. We look for that damage during every air conditioning repair so a small failure does not take the whole system down.
  • Condensate lines we actually clearBy late summer, drain lines clog with algae and shut systems off on the float switch. We clear the line, check the pan and the safety switch, and show you what caused the backup.
  • Heating tooCold snaps still arrive. We do heating repair and heater repair on heat pumps, strip heat and furnace repair where homes have one, so the system works in January as well as August.
  • Plain talk about older systemsIf a repair makes sense, we repair it. If a unit is failing in ways that will keep costing you, we say that too and lay out the options. You decide, not us.
  • All major brands, gas & electricEvery major HVAC brand, gas and electric, handled by an independent crew.
  • Straight answersWhen a replacement beats a repair, we tell you, sometimes before we roll a truck.
