Whole-Home Air Purifiers

We install and service whole-home air purifiers that mount inside your ductwork and treat the air your HVAC system already moves, for homeowners across Florida. Homeowners call us when dust settles back on surfaces a day after cleaning, when allergy symptoms stay steady indoors, or when a closed-up house smells stale by afternoon. Portable units handle one room. A whole-home unit handles every room the ducts reach. Call us and we will look at your system, your duct layout and what you are actually trying to clean out of the air.

What the installation involves

A whole-home air purifier goes into the return side of your air handler, so every cycle of conditioned air passes through it. We measure the cabinet and return opening, confirm there is room to work, and cut in a housing sized to your system. Wiring for powered units runs to the air handler. We check static pressure before and after, because a purifier that chokes airflow makes your AC work harder and cool worse. Most installs take part of a day, and we test operation before we leave.

What we check and what we install

We start with the equipment you have. Blower capacity, return sizing, filter slot depth and duct condition all decide what fits. From there the options are media purifiers with deep pleated filtration, electronic units that charge and collect particles, and ultraviolet or ionization systems aimed at biological growth on the coil and in the air stream. In our climate, coil growth and humidity drive a lot of IAQ complaints, so we look at the evaporator and the condensate drain while we are in there.

How we decide it is the right call

Sometimes it is not. If your ducts leak into a hot attic, or your filter is loaded, or the return is undersized, cleaning that up does more than adding equipment. We check those first and tell you straight. A whole-home purifier makes sense when the system moves air well, the ducts are sound, and you still have dust, odor or allergy problems that a one inch filter cannot handle. Households with pets, smokers or sensitive breathing usually see the clearest difference.

Whole-Home Air Purifiers — quick answers

Will a whole-home air purifier reduce airflow from my vents?

A properly sized one should not. Denser filtration does add resistance, so we measure static pressure and match the unit to your blower. If a purifier would restrict your system, we tell you before installing it.

How often does it need service?

Depends on the type. Media purifiers use a replacement cartridge, usually once or twice a year in Florida homes that run cooling most of the year. Electronic cells need periodic washing. Ultraviolet lamps get replaced on a schedule.

Does it help with humidity or mold smells?

It helps with airborne spores and some odors, and ultraviolet units limit growth on the coil. It will not fix a humidity problem. If your house feels damp, we look at run times, duct leaks and the condensate drain first.

How it works

  1. Step 1

    Tell us the symptom

Call or fill in the quote form and describe what changed. Warm air, short cycling, a breaker that keeps tripping, water stains on the ceiling. That detail helps us bring the right parts.

  2. Step 2

    We diagnose on site

A technician checks the thermostat, the electrical side, refrigerant performance, airflow and the condensate line. We find the actual cause instead of swapping parts and hoping the problem stays away.

  3. Step 3

    You approve the repair

We explain what failed, what it takes to fix it, and how long the part is likely to last. Nothing gets replaced until you say go, and we test the system before leaving.

Why homeowners call us

  • Built for the salt airCoastal Florida is hard on outdoor equipment. Coils corrode, contactors pit, fan motors seize early. We look for that damage during every air conditioning repair so a small failure does not take the whole system down.
  • Condensate lines we actually clearBy late summer, drain lines clog with algae and shut systems off on the float switch. We clear the line, check the pan and the safety switch, and show you what caused the backup.
  • Heating tooCold snaps still arrive. We do heating repair and heater repair on heat pumps, strip heat and furnace repair where homes have one, so the system works in January as well as August.
  • Plain talk about older systemsIf a repair makes sense, we repair it. If a unit is failing in ways that will keep costing you, we say that too and lay out the options. You decide, not us.
  • All major brands, gas & electricEvery major HVAC brand, gas and electric, handled by an independent crew.
  • Straight answersWhen a replacement beats a repair, we tell you, sometimes before we roll a truck.
