What a multi-zone repair involves
A multi-zone system is several indoor heads sharing one outdoor condenser, so the fault is rarely where the symptom shows up. We start by running each zone alone and watching how the outdoor unit responds. From there we trace refrigerant distribution, check the branch box or manifold if the system uses one, read stored error codes, and confirm the indoor units are actually communicating. Sometimes one bad head drags the whole system down. Sometimes the head is fine and the problem sits outside in the electronics.
What we check on site
We look at filters and blower wheels in every head, since salt air and dust load them faster than most homeowners expect. We check condensate pans, pumps and drain lines, because a clogged line in one head will trip a float switch and shut that zone off. Outside we inspect the coil for corrosion, the contactor, the inverter board, line set insulation and the electrical connections. Refrigerant charge and pressures get verified last, once airflow and drainage are ruled out as the cause.
How we decide repair is the right call
We weigh how many zones are affected, the age of the outdoor unit, and whether parts are still available. One dead head on an otherwise healthy system is usually a straightforward repair. A failed inverter board on a heavily corroded condenser that already lost refrigerant twice is a different conversation, and we will say so plainly. We also check whether the original install was sized and zoned correctly, because a system asked to do too much will keep failing no matter what we replace.

Why does only one of my mini-split heads stop cooling?
Usually a clogged condensate drain tripping that zone's float switch, a dirty coil, a stuck expansion valve, or a communication fault on that head's board. The other zones keep running, which is why the fault gets ignored for weeks.
Can you repair one zone without shutting the whole system down?
Often no. Most diagnostics and any refrigerant work require the outdoor unit off, so expect the whole system down for part of the visit. We schedule around the hottest part of the day where we can.
Is it worth repairing an older multi-zone system?
It depends on part availability and the condition of the outdoor coil. If the condenser is badly corroded and boards are discontinued, repairs get short-lived. We give you what we find before you decide.
How it works
- Step 1
Tell us the symptom
Call or fill in the quote form and describe what changed. Warm air, short cycling, a breaker that keeps tripping, water stains on the ceiling. That detail helps us bring the right parts.
- Step 2
We diagnose on site
A technician checks the thermostat, the electrical side, refrigerant performance, airflow and the condensate line. We find the actual cause instead of swapping parts and hoping the problem stays away.
- Step 3
You approve the repair
We explain what failed, what it takes to fix it, and how long the part is likely to last. Nothing gets replaced until you say go, and we test the system before leaving.

Why homeowners call us
- Built for the salt airCoastal Florida is hard on outdoor equipment. Coils corrode, contactors pit, fan motors seize early. We look for that damage during every air conditioning repair so a small failure does not take the whole system down.
- Condensate lines we actually clearBy late summer, drain lines clog with algae and shut systems off on the float switch. We clear the line, check the pan and the safety switch, and show you what caused the backup.
- Heating tooCold snaps still arrive. We do heating repair and heater repair on heat pumps, strip heat and furnace repair where homes have one, so the system works in January as well as August.
- Plain talk about older systemsIf a repair makes sense, we repair it. If a unit is failing in ways that will keep costing you, we say that too and lay out the options. You decide, not us.

- Straight answersWhen a replacement beats a repair, we tell you, sometimes before we roll a truck.
